Starting out, the chicks live their lives cozy and protected in our brooders. At 3 weeks old, the cornish cross chicks are moved to pasture and rotate daily to twice daily. They are provided an ORGANIC local feed mix from NEMO Feed Co.

The birds spend the majority of their lives on the farm, from arriving as 2 day old chicks from Freedom Ranger Hatchery to processing at 8 weeks. We catch them early in the morning to prevent stress when crated. Birds are processed on site, aged 2 days in ice water and then shrink wrapped, weighed and frozen.
